Vibrations

Vibrations have become, over the years of increasing urban density and land pressure, a major concern for building projects located in close proximity to railway transport infrastructure. In addition, vibration-related issues have also become a key priority for construction and civil engineering works, as well as for industrial environments.

LASA provides short- and long-term vibration measurement services, enabling detailed assessment of vibratory phenomena. Analyses can be carried out in overall values, one-third octave bands, narrow-band frequency analysis, and even raw signal recording, allowing appropriate signal processing to be performed post hoc.

Depending on the project, vibration studies also enable the design and sizing of anti-vibration mounts under noise-generating machinery or beneath buildings, for example to protect them from railway-induced vibrations.

These services also include real-time vibration quality management on construction sites, with alert transmission and customised reporting via our SAWL platform.

LASA also carries out studies on vibration propagation within buildings in order to assess potential disturbance risks depending on the vibration sources considered.
